The Welcome Dinner by Avani

 The welcoming dinner was a night to remember for students and host families. Seeing and interacting with the other families and tasting each person's home-cooked meals was an experience like no other. Other than family interaction, being around classmates who you have never talked to before is an experience in and of itself. Not to mention, the food was amazing! Though I don’t remember the names of half the items, one of the parents attempted to make cheeseburgers! It was good but tasted very different. So far, during this trip, I have made friends with people who are normally not on my radar. After dinner, a few of us walked to the park and stayed till sunset.
